Company Quality Policy

We work extremely hard to ensure we achieve and – where possible – exceed industry standards of quality health and safety. Minimising the effect our operations have on the environment are principal concerns for us.

Our membership and engagement with industry bodies and qualifications in industry standards demonstrate our commitment.

Environmental Policy

SFB recognises its responsibility to ensure the protection of the environment and efficient use of all resources. SFB is developing its operations and organisational responsibilities which are sensitive to environmental protection.All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure these objectives are met.

It is recognized that the nature of our work does not impact heavily on the environment. However we are always conscious to ensure that this does not change. To this end we will continue to regularly review environmental issues with particular reference to the following;

  • Vehicle Pollution – The objective should always be to minimise number and use of vehicles.
  • Waste Disposal – Always use authorised waste disposal centre. Only dispose of waste that cannot be sensibly recycled.
  • Recycling – Where feasible recycle waste. The main area of relevance is in the recycling of waste paper. All confidential documents should be shredded prior to collection.
  • Noise – Where possible noise should be kept to a minimum and consideration should always be given to others in the vicinity. To this end wherever possible work requiring the use of drills and alike should be performed away from other individuals not involved in the works or at times when they are not present.
  • Dust Protection – When work necessitates the creation of dust then where practical sheeting should be used to protect the surrounding areas and dust should be cleared as soon as is practical following the work.
    Unfriendly Products – Avoid the use of products, which are known to be harmful to the environment.
  • System Design – The design and implementation of systems with consideration for the environment.
  • Awareness – Suppliers and customers awareness of the Company?s environmental aims.
  • Efficient use of energy – Always ensure that energy resources are used efficiently.


This constitutes SFB’s Environmental policy. All employees and sub-contractors are expected to adhere to these guidelines in order that SFB can make its contribution (however small) towards an improved environment.

Health and Safety Policy

The Health, Safety and Welfare of employees and others who may be affected are of prime importance to the company and are essential to the efficient operation of its undertaking.
All employees shall be briefed on the content of this Policy upon commencement with the Company. Any amendments will be brought to the attention of all employees via their immediate manager, where it is considered necessary.

The responsibility of Safety at work rests all employees. The company will ensure that this policy is pursued throughout the organisation. The company will take all reasonably practicable precautions to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare at work of its employees by providing:-

  • A safe working environment by the design, construction, operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and facilities provided.
  • Safe systems of work.
  • Adequate Information, Instruction, Training and Supervision.
  • Control of situations likely to cause damage to property and/or equipment.
  • Effective facilities for the treatment of injuries, which occur at work.
  • Effective fire prevention and fire control procedures.
  • Adequate facilities for consultation between management and employee representatives.
  • The making of such tests, examinations, samples and records as are necessary to monitor the working environment.


All employees of the company agree, as a term of their contract of employment, to comply with their individual duties under The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, all subordinate legislation, and generally co-operate with their employer to enable them to carry out their Health and Safety duties towards them.

The overall responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare of the company and its personnel is vested in the Company H&S Director.
